Methodology
The Score Is Only as Strong as Its Evidence.
We keep economic attractiveness separate from evidence quality. A promising multiple cannot make missing financial records reliable.
Deal Strength
Deal strength is a preliminary comparison of asking price, stated earnings, financing burden, rent exposure, and operating history. It uses seller-provided figures until documents replace them.
Data Coverage
Coverage measures whether the fields and public records needed for a useful screen were available. Missing rent, industry classification, address detail, or operating history lowers coverage.
Evidence Reliability
Reliability weights the origin and age of evidence. Seller copy receives less weight than matched public records; public aggregate data cannot verify the finances of a specific company.
Evidence Labels
- Seller-provided: captured but unverified.
- Calculated: derived from stated inputs and disclosed assumptions.
- Public record: named source, geography, and reference period.
- Unresolved: missing, conflicting, stale, or too broad to support a claim.
Important Limitation
Business Buyer Check is not an appraisal, audit, quality-of-earnings report, legal review, tax opinion, environmental assessment, or lending decision.
