Every finding carries its publisher, retrieval status, identity match, scope, and limitations. A missing result is never presented as proof that no risk exists.

Our Verification Standard

Business Buyer Check separates five different outcomes: a corroborated match, a possible match, no result returned for the recorded query, a source requiring manual review, and a source that was unavailable or not run. These outcomes are not interchangeable.

  • Traceable: the report names the official publisher and preserves the source link.
  • Identity-aware: legal name, jurisdiction, address, filing number, license number, USDOT number, or agency identifier is used where available.
  • Time-stamped: evidence records the retrieval time or source vintage.
  • Scope-limited: every source says what it proves—and what it cannot prove.
  • Decision-ready: supported adverse findings produce diligence steps and transaction protections without inventing exposure amounts.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency — ECHO

Match keys: legal name, facility address, state, EPA registry ID.

Can establish: The official ECHO response and facility-level compliance fields returned for the recorded query.

Cannot establish: Ownership, absence of differently named facilities, cleanup cost, successor liability, or environmental fitness.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

Match keys: USDOT number, legal name, physical state.

Can establish: The carrier identity and structured carrier fields returned for the supplied USDOT number.

Cannot establish: Complete crash causation, insurance adequacy, loss history, vehicle condition, or future operating authority.

Structured data requires the configured FMCSA web key; SAFER is publicly searchable.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration

Match keys: establishment name, site address, inspection number.

Can establish: Inspection, citation, penalty, abatement, and contest information displayed for a corroborated establishment.

Cannot establish: Absence of state-plan records, unreported incidents, current workplace safety, or final dollar exposure.

Public search; establishment identity and case status require review.

U.S. Department of Labor Enforcement Data

Match keys: legal or establishment name, address, agency case identifier.

Can establish: Published enforcement records returned by the selected DOL agency dataset.

Cannot establish: Complete employment-law compliance, pending investigations, private claims, or successor liability.

Public datasets with different coverage periods by agency.

Official controlled access

Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts — PACER

Match keys: party name, court, case number, filing date.

Can establish: Docket entries and documents in the identified federal case.

Cannot establish: State or local litigation, allegations as facts, collectability, or undisclosed disputes.

Registration and usage fees may apply.

Verified Launch-State Source Maps

Current direct-source packages cover California, Texas, Florida. Each package maps entity status, UCC, tax standing, courts, contractor and operating licenses, and local escalation to the responsible official authority. Access may still require a fee, account, agency request, or human identity review.

Company-Specific Evidence Remains Essential

Listings and public records cannot verify normalized earnings, cash conversion, customer concentration, employee retention, inventory quality, contract assignability, or equipment condition. Tax returns, P&Ls, balance sheets, bank records, payroll, leases, contracts, customer detail, and equipment schedules must be reconciled before a purchase decision.

What Our Report Does Not Guarantee

It does not guarantee that a company is safe, profitable, compliant, debt-free, litigation-free, financeable, or worth its asking price. It guarantees a documented screening process: the checks performed, the evidence returned, the match logic used, the gaps remaining, and the next action required are made visible.
